If you've followed me a long time anywhere on these here interwebs, you know that I love to hack sewing patterns. Hack patterns together, hack them into different cuts and style, you name it, I'll hack it. I knew one of the first things I wanted to do on my new YouTube channel (did you miss my launch?!) was a video where I walked through how I hacked one of my favorite bodices. It's a bit of a tutorial! Quick ... Read more »

Tasha Could Make That is now on YouTube!
Hello friends! It's with a lot of excitement and just as much (or more!) nervousness, that I'm announcing today that I'm finally on YouTube! I've had a lot of requests over the years to do more video content for vintage sewing and knitting. The jumper dress I didn’t know that I really wanted
Hello, friends! I greet you after a road trip to visit family over Christmas, with a project I sewed and photographed a few weeks ago but hadn't had the time to write about. Because I fully intended to write about this dress once I'd finished it, as it kind of surprised me how much I liked it. Ironically part of this outfit started off as something I intended to make into a cardigan pattern ... Read more »

You never think when you pick a username for something that it might be kicking around more ... Read more »
50s topper coat for spring
Ta da! My yellow spring topper from Simplicity 3541 from 1950 is done. And I love it! It was a pretty short project all things considered, taking me about a week to actually sew. Although it probably took another week to make the muslin and get all the pattern pieces ready (I talked about that in my last post). Sometimes I forget how labor intensive the prep is for coats! Lined things have so many pattern pieces and ... Read more »
