Did you catch my Fortesse pullover knitting pattern release? Today I’ve released the Fortesse beret, a wonderful knitting pattern to make a perfect vintage-inspired matched set with the pullover. Get the pattern on Ravelry and Payhip!
The Fortesse beret, like the pullover, is knit in worsted weight yarn. Which means this beret is a quick knit! The sample and matching sweater is in Brooklyn Tweed Tones. I just love a woolen spun yarn.
One of my favorite things about the Fortesse beret is the trim detail, based on an eyelet round just above the broken rib brim (which matches the broken rib cuffs, collar and hem of the pullover). You can keep the eyelet round as purely decorative, or weave in a garter stitch trim—either matching or contrasting!
I think the Fortesse beret is a great quick knit for fall, and hope you’ll really enjoy it!
