Reviving our Swedish modern dish

November 1, 2012 by Tasha 12 Comments

Today I want to share with you a teensy little project I did earlier this fall. But before I do, I just wanted to give my many thanks for all of the comments on my fair isle pullover. I was so, so tickled reading your comments! ♥ And I'm tossing around an idea that Katie from The Little Red Squirrel planted in my head: doing a knit-along for "vintaging" a modern knitwear pattern. I know I've fallen flat on my attempts to ... Read more »

Weekend blogger meetup (& other recent activities)

September 20, 2012 by Tasha 10 Comments

Hello! Before I get started with documenting a little adventure I had this past weekend, I wanted to say a big, huge THANK YOU for all of the wonderful comments I received on my last post. Wow. It's so nice knowing you're not alone, and all of your personal stories have been so great to read, and I hope helpful to others, too! I've been extra busy the last week and my plans to respond to each comment on my post or by ... Read more »

Carry on

September 12, 2012 by Tasha 49 Comments

If you've been a regular to my blog for some time, you may have noticed I've done very little outfit-related posts this year. I admit it, I've had some style ennui. Seeing as this blog revolves around style in a lot of ways (though I've never considered myself a "fashion blogger" by a long shot), that's made blogging kind of difficult. I spent a long time trying to figure out what was bothering me. In the end, I think ... Read more »

Last weekend’s vintage finds

June 21, 2012 by Tasha 41 Comments

Hello everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed my tutorial on how to make a feedsack hair bow. It's such a quick and easy project, you better let me know if you make one! Last Sunday was our one year wedding anniversary. Our plan initially was going to involve a walk around the nature preserve where we got married, but come the day of, we just weren't in the mood. Isn't that terrible? lol We keep missing the vintage fairs this ... Read more »

Coral on my mind {and my lips}

May 21, 2012 by Tasha 46 Comments

Hello everyone! I've been obsessed with the color coral for quite some time. I think since last spring! I got a gift certificate to Sephora for my birthday, and I decided to splurge on a lipstick I'd been wanting to try for awhile. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté in Rose Paris (27). As I'm sure you've noticed, I usually stick with red, however I thought this bright pinky coral would be a fun change. I paired it with an ... Read more »

Haircuts and Twitter

May 3, 2012 by Tasha 16 Comments

Hello all! Today is haircut day. Why am I nervous?I think it's because we're (perhaps?) entering warm weather season here. That will mean lots of heat and humidity, where I live. And in most ways, I am most certainly not a wimp, but I will admit: I am a heat wimp. At the first sign of hot, humid weather I run for hair elastics and scarves and bandanas and anything that will get my hair off my neck faster than you can ... Read more »
