Tasha Could Make That new YouTube channel

Tasha Could Make That is now on YouTube!

January 18, 2023 by Tasha 1 Comment

Hello friends! It's with a lot of excitement and just as much (or more!) nervousness, that I'm announcing today that I'm finally on YouTube! I've had a lot of requests over the years to do more video content for vintage sewing and knitting. And though I have done a bunch of Instagram stories, mainly talking through sewing projects, it's not nearly as 'official' as a dedicated channel for things! But particularly ... Read more »

Review: Pins for pinups DIY retro brooches ebook (and my Headless Horseman version!)

October 19, 2016 by Tasha 3 Comments

Awhile back—okay, awhiiiiillllllle back—the lovely Brittany from Va-Voom Vintage kindly sent me a copy of her DIY ebook, Pins for Pin-Ups: DIY Brooches for Retro Girls. I'm a retro girl, I love brooches, I love DIY projects, what's not to love about it?! I knew the ebook would be great, because last winter I'd purchased Brittany's Christmas project ebook, Kitschmas Crafting with Va-Voom Vintage, and I had a ton of fun ... Read more »

New haircut for a ginger Marilyn-inspired look

November 24, 2015 by Tasha 55 Comments

Well, I did it! After talking about it on my blog last week, I got my hair cut over the weekend! I was going for a much shorter 'do, and showed my stylist a lot of photos (including some that I'd included in my last post). She's familiar with vintage hairstyles so I knew she'd have her own ideas for what to do with my hair. What I ended up with is not exactly the quintessential middy cut, but similar. I think my bangs ... Read more »

Dare or don’t: going for shorter vintage hair

November 18, 2015 by Tasha 20 Comments

Hello, my friends! It's been some time since I've met up with you here! When I last posted, we were in preparations for our vacation to Wales and Paris (and a milisecond in London, which was a milisecond very well spent!). All of those adventures include fun stories and tales to share... but with the turn of events in the world, you can understand why sharing delightful memories of our vacation (especially ones that ... My new trick to transforming naturally dark eyebrows to match dyed red hair

September 10, 2015 by Tasha 18 Comments

Here's a relatively unusual post from me today! I have a makeup tip. It's something I found so profoundly changed my perception of an area on my face that was bugging me, that I had to share. So today's post is an ode to MAC Browset! Not a sponsored review or anything, just a girl who fell in love with a new product she bought. ;) This is for those faux redheads out there who, like me, have naturally dark and ... Read more »

A redhead again and LOVING it!

August 18, 2015 by Tasha 23 Comments

Well my friends, my mom was right. (As moms usually are!) Once you're a redhead, and you then stop being a redhead, you'll probably never stop actually thinking about being a redhead again someday. And so someday is today! Ahhhhhh. That feels SO good!!! I had my hair dyed red by my stylist a little over a year ago. And I absolutely adored it, for 4 or 5 months. But for a variety of reasons I went back to ... Read more »
