I'm tired of not sewing!Last autumn, I had so much going on with knitting projects that I sewed very little. And then came the house buying, and the moving, and, well, my sewing machine has been pretty lonely. I kept saying I'd start sewing again once I got my basement craft area going, but that hasn't really happened yet. It's been bothering me that I haven't sewn in months, especially since I had hoped last year I'd ... Read more »

Sewing and tucks
Hi everyone! This has continued to be one of those weeks where I struggle with my craft projects. Don't you just hate weeks like that? I went from not really having time to sew for over a month to trying to work on two projects this week and getting foiled along the way on both of them. This time, though, I'm not really foiled, just looking for opinions! Pretty pearly pins
I have been having an exhausting week at work, the kind where I come home and can only think about crafting in my head and can't actually bring myself to do anything. I think one of the best things about working from home is that as soon as I'm off work I can work on a project if I'd like, rather than dealing with a commute first that adds to the tired feeling. Today, I'm working on my ... Read more »
Finished project: New York leaf dress
I'm so happy to report that my dress is complete! Friday afternoon I put the finishing touches on the sundress I started last weekend.I'd been getting increasingly frustrated with sewing lately and finally realized what was bogging me down in several of my abandoned projects: the muslins. I decided I just needed to take a chance and wing it without one, so last weekend that's what I did. Not having a long history of ... Read more »
