Sheep, alpacas and work

October 23, 2012 by Tasha 17 Comments

Well hello my friends! Long time no see! In case you were wondering if the earth swallowed me up whole, it did not. Not quite, anyhow. Over the last month I was involved in a project at work that we've gone through each of the last few years which means pretty much working all hours I can manage for weeks leading up to the launch. I had no time for blogging, no time for knitting, no time for responding to emails, no ... Read more »

Cabin getaway & recent finds

April 30, 2012 by Tasha 29 Comments

Thanks for all the replies and commiseration on my vintage hair funk post! It certainly sounds like it's going around. Spring fever, perhaps. What I have now is sort of grown out of the middy-like haircut I got in November, but it's definitely due for something. I still haven't decided on what I'm going to go for, but it will probably be just a shorter version of what I have (or what's grown out, rather). My best hair ... Read more »

Packing, in textures

March 4, 2012 by Tasha 17 Comments

I walked around yesterday and took some photos of things I would be packing up sooner or later for the move. Some so soon they've already been packed, only a day later!Boots for moderate winter weather... Hand knit sweaters...Unceremoniously stored stockings...Blouses...lots of blouses...Garter belts...Pretty underthings...End of winter/spring jackets that it will soon be warm enough to wear...Vintage frames that may one ... Indian Summer in St. Louis

October 11, 2011 by Tasha 14 Comments

This weekend we took a road trip to St. Louis to visit Mel's sister, brother-in-law and our niece and nephew. It was fantastic. We always have such a nice time together. There was grilling, relaxing on the porch, seeing butterflies at a butterfly house, looking for fossils and geodes by a river, skipping rocks, playing with the kids and reading bedtime stories. All in gloriously warm weather more reminiscent of July than ... Read more »

New Mexico vacation – Part 2

September 16, 2011 by Tasha 13 Comments

Time for part 2 of vacation photos! I'm so glad you guys enjoyed the first batch. Thank you for all the nice comments! I think New Mexico is one of those under-appreciated states... although it's kind of nice that way. :)These start with the second and longer part of our trip, in and around Taos. On our way there, we stopped for another scenic view and you can see our furry friend who was on the trip, too, our dog Pia.We ... Read more »

New Mexico vacation – Part 1

September 14, 2011 by Tasha 15 Comments

I finally got a chance to upload my vacation pictures and since there are so many of them, I decided to split them up into two posts for the two parts of our trip! What did I wear on vacation, you may be wondering? I went for very casual and easy on this vacation since I knew we'd be spending a lot of time in the mountains hiking and staying in a cabin, and didn't feel like much in the way of high-maintenance routines or ...
