Victory yarn kit and discounts!

November 13, 2013 by Tasha 8 Comments

I’m very pleased to share a special promotion today, in collaboration with Susan Crawford.

Susan Crawford Vintage Knitting

If you’re a fan of modern vintage knitting, then without a doubt you know UK knitwear designer Susan Crawford. As you also may know, Susan has a gorgeous line of yarn produced with John Arbon, called Excelana. Excelana is available in fingering weight / 4 ply as well as DK weight. In fact, for Wovember, you can read more about Susan’s visit to the John Arbon mill where Excelana is spun!

I used fingering weight Excelana when I designed Victory. Excelana is 100% British wool, spun from the fleece of Exmoor Blueface sheep, and it couldn’t be a more delightful yarn to work with. Warm, springy, soft, with a yummy halo. The colors used in the Victory pattern are Cornflower Blue, Ruby Red, Powdered Egg, Nile Green and Alabaster. It’s just perfect for vintage-inspired knits.

Exclusive Excelana kit for Victory

In collaboration with Susan, I’m pleased to be able to offer you a great promotion for the next month–now through December 12th. Purchase a Victory yarn kit and get 10% off!

You’ll get:

  • 5 balls of Excelana to knit your own Victory (if you’d like to swap colors from the original, simply mention it in the comments field during checkout)
  • An exclusive Susan Crawford project bag to carry around your work-in-progress

Buy the kit here at Susan Crawford’s online shop! Use the discount code VICTORY10 when checking out to get 10% off. Shipping is worldwide (and the included VAT tax will be removed for US and Canadian customers).

And if that isn’t enough Excelana for you, make sure you take a peek at the newest limited edition color, Dark Mandarin. I couldn’t think of a better color for autumn. Read more about it on Susan’s blog. Consider swapping Ruby Red for Dark Mandarin in your own Victory for a slight palette change.

Thanks for doing this. I was waffling around about whether to buy the yarn now or wait until I’m in the UK next year, but the price of the kit and the shipping were so reasonable that I placed the order, which means I can have my tam in time for winter. Chuffed.

That hat is absolutely delicious and classy. Is the discount code still working? I have just tied and I got an error saying that it was not valid.

BTW, I’m hosting a give away. The prize is a pattern of your choice from Ravelry. You just have to leave a comment on my last post.

Hi Elena, I had to tweak something with the code but I just tested it again, and it should now work for you. Sorry about that!

      Great giveaway idea! 🙂

Bought it! I couldn’t resist, though I’m probably biting off more than I can chew with the pattern… I’m optimistic though!
