On a recent weekend, Mel and I had a couple of errands to run in one of the neighborhoods in which I grew up. We weren't really planning to take any photos but as it happened we had along a little point-and-shoot camera. While my nicer DSLR takes much better photos, sometimes it's either take quick snapshots or nothing. And since we've gotten pretty lax about taking a camera (mainly because I often don't feel like lugging ... Read more »

A fabulous antiquing day in St. Louis
Hello, friends! Goodness have I ever been busy. So busy that I can't even seem to catch up with, well, about anything. We just got back from one road trip and here I am showing you photos from two road trips ago. Albeit, it was only last weekend. Like I said...busy! The weekend before the 4th of July holiday weekend, we drove to St. Louis to visit Mel's sister and our brother-in-law, niece, and nephew. We try to get ... Read more »

So instead, here's a ... Read more »
Dublin holiday: places and spaces
My friends, I'm back from Dublin's Fair City! It was a wonderful vacation. Really and truly. Not a relaxing on the beach or hiking in the mountains holiday. A day at the Hill of Tara and Newgrange
Hello from Dublin! We've been here just under a week and are having a lovely time! For the first few days we got to frolic with our friends Jen and Emma who we visited in Wales last year (they relocated there from Chicago a couple of years ago). It was so wonderful that they were able to meet us here. There's something so fun and magical about four people meeting up in Dublin, two of whom live in Wales, one of whom grew ... Read more »
