Do you love gingham? I loove gingham. Apparently, I love gingham so much, that between my two latest YouTube videos, where I show you my favorite tricks for achieving perfectly smooth bias tape facings around armholes, and then sew up the example blouse from the tutorial, I end up showing 4 different gingham summer tops I’ve made. I really had no idea until making of those videos that I sewed it that much!
If you’d like to see me sew up this 1950s mail order pattern, check out my latest video! You’ll have to watch and find out if I decide the annoying to construct yoke was worth the effort.
This top has sleeveless armholes faced with bias tape, and YouTube viewers voted for smooth bias tape faced armholes to be my next tutorial, so you can watch my tutorial and see how I do it. I share two easy methods to get it perfect every time.
